      <description><![CDATA[This old lion statue has been missing for the past ten years. We found it yesterday and took this photograph. The statue began its life in 1881 and was perched aloft the Lion Hotel in Skegness. It was brought down to ground level in 1904 and remained for over 100 years till it went missing when the pub was sold to Wetherspoon in 1997.<br />
